UPDATE: Southwest Could Just Use Kubernetes, Right?

Recalling my previous post, “Southwest Could Just Use Kubernetes, Right?”, and the answer is:

Yes!

Or at least it sounds like they are throwing in pretty hard with cloud services and AWS, according to their press release. Southwest did call out “containers” and “serverless compute”. It’s also interesting that there’s an emphasis on the data platform, Redshift, and Sagemaker.

I hope Southwest gives updates on their cloud transformation progress because they certainly have an interesting suite of applications and a lot of scale.
